Of course, you need that break. 

You need to spend quality time with your family.

And not just the vacation....sometimes your health too gets affected

 

But, at the same time...BNI is your Marketing Team. 

There are more than 20 members working for your company, your product round the clock 

You cannot ignore BNI YAGNAA

So..the alternative is ...

send a SUBSTITUTE. 

But the biggest is finding the right substitute.

How many members here have an organized substitute?

 Can I see a show of hands, please?

2. Senior Level Person (like our President sends his Manager)

5. Children....(they know they are representing their HERO in real life)

Sending a substitute will not only help in continuing your marketing but also show to the Chapter that you are COMMITTED to the chapter's growth.

Additionally, if you have a substitute it is not counted as an absence and you can save those for those rare emergencies when you don’t have the time to find a sub.

 

How to prepare the substitute....

This I will cover some other time. 

So, Yagnites...there are 2 guarantees in life...

1 is Death

2 is Taxes

and there is a 3rd and that is 

Getting absent in BNI but

Why GIVER's Gain??

I recently joined BNI YAGNAA
It was a spontaneous decision and I did not even know about BNI even 1 week before joining BNI.
I went as a Visitor to my friend Mr.Mahaveer's son Mr.Shailesh Mehta who wanted to come to BNI and see the difference it has made to his business.

I went only because I did not want to disappoint Mr.Mahaveer.
I was floored by the
SMILES ALL AROUND
THE UNSELFISHNESS WAY OF GIVING BUSINESS TO OTHERS
THE PROFESSIONAL WAY IN WHICH THE MEETING WAS CONDUCTED....

Post meeting, I was asked "are you interested in joining"
Without battling an eyelid....I joined!!!!

Within 1 month, the Leadership team changed and pronto! out of the blue....I was told that I am selected as EDUCATION CO-ORDINATOR.
Me?
What experience do I have?
I dont what Mrs.NAINA BAINDUR (President, BNI YAGNAA) saw in me.......
But, I just couldnt say NO.....

And LO!
The Education Slots were my responsibility and I digged in all the info I could get and I found
"Arre....this is right up my alley....I LOVE this responsibility" And jumped headlong into the role.


And the GIVER'S GAIN gyan was my 2nd Talk on Education Slot
The First one....(let it be a secret for now)

I Started by Asking....
""How many want MORE BUSINESS??""

I Paused for people to raise their hands
and continued

Of course....everyone!!!

So...today lets RE-LEARN how to generate more business from BNI....

Why Re-Learn???
Thats because we had learnt this in MSP."
(MSP is Membership Success Program which is mandatory for new members and is a very good training which gives you insight of how BNI helps you grow your business)

"The NO.1 core value of BNI is the simple 2 word called


GIVERS...............................GAIN!!!


What this does mean is...
you just cannot become a BNI member and magically expect to get business....

Oh..Does it mean joining BNI is like doing CHARITY?



Now....when you plant a COCONUT TREE....will it give Coconuts immediately??


Then I Turned to one of the members ..and asked
”Mr.X... when will a Coconut Tree start giving coconuts?"

Mr.X replied

”At least 5 years”



I continued..


“There!!!!

5 years is 260 weeks, my friends....


So, does it mean.....coming to BNI YAGNAA for 260 weeks and only then start getting businesses....

A BIG NO!!!



It can start from as low as just 5-10  weeks..."

at this point, I TURNED TO VISITORS and continued))...


"And, especially in BNI YAGNAA even many 1 week members have had referrals coming their way. 


So, how to get BUSINESS. 
Very simple....by GIVING Business!!!

Thats why its called GIVERS GAIN.

The Words GIVERS GAIN contains GIVER first and next comes the word GAIN.


A recent research from Wharton Management says that
GIVERS in BNI get 50% MORE business than TAKERS....


And its very logical my friends...

Because when you give....
you develop RELATIONSHIP and not TRANSACTIONAL. 


A GIVER ends up creating a lot of GOOD WILL in relationship

When people know that you are a Giver,

Who likes to fail?

But still sometimes, due to factors beyond your control....things may not move in your direction and you start sliding.
The Yaghnaa Chapter saw some tough times about an year back but instead of cribbing, we at YAGHNAA have improved upon our strength and eliminated our weakness and BOUNCED BACK.

And it would not be out of place to say that we at YAGHNAA have Bounced back in Style !!!

The YAGHNAA CHAPTER WAS AWARDED THE 1ST PRIZE in the category of the BNI OPPORTUNITY CREATOR AWARD.
Yes...
YAGHNAA WON THE 1ST PRIZE FOR BEING THE CHAPTER WITH THE HIGHEST VISITORS PER MEMBER. 

The Yaghnaa Chapter has bounced back and how !!!!!

weakness and the results is there to see.

How Yaghnaa bounced back could well make for a interesting case for a management school.

We at the BNI YAGHNAA Chapter learnt lessons from our failure and more importantly translanted that learning into ACTION which started giving us that EDGE.

With two of our members NAINA BAINDOOR (Category – BRAND CONSULTANT) getting the 1^st prize and SHARATH BABU (Category – LIFE SKILLS TRAINING) being the President and Vice President and showing the other members the way to go by being an example by themselves it's just a matter of time for YAGHNAA to bounce back.

So, it was not at all a surprise for YAGHNAA members when these two won the awards.
And, mark my words....in the next year BANG, our YAGHNAA members will definitely be winning in much more category.

The More DARKER the night....the more nearer the DAWN is!!
The daylight has broken over the Yaghnaa and the GOLDEN times has started.

NOT GETTING BUSINESS IN BNI?

“I didn’t know you deal in that! You never told me!”

 How does it feel when your friend/relative told that they bought something from your competitor? 
 Absolutely TERRIBLE right? 

 It should never happen. 
 At least in BNI. 

 But sometimes even in BNI it happens. 
 And if it happens...the only person to be blamed is YOU... 
Yes...You!! 

 Now why did this happen? 
 It could have happened because of lots of reasons and to avoid that you need to do the following : 





 1. EXPLAIN WHAT YOU DO 
When you do your Weekly Presentation....keep changing the content. 
 Dont get restricted to just 3-4 types. 
 Members tend to get stuck on 3-4 presentations which have been appreciated and dont move on. 
 This could gradually result in members "forgetting" your "other" products/services and may not be able to refer you 
 And when the Feature Presentation comes, dont miss the golden opportunity of educating of all your products. Yes...focus on your TOP 3 but do give the list of things you do/deal in. 
 And most importantly, have a Elaborate, regular 1-2-1 and explain everything you do. 


 2. EXPLAIN HOW YOU DO WHAT YOU DO 
For this the 1-2-1 with your chapter member is the ideal way. 
 You need to explain the processes that you follow and make sure that your chapter member goes with the feeling that their referrals will be in good hands. 

Always make sure that the members develop TRUST in what you do.
Show that you actually CARE for your customers and not just interested in making money 



3. EXPERIENCE. 

 Chapter members or for that matter anyone would be comfortable dealing with people who are experienced enough. 
Showcase your experience. 
 If you arent experienced enough, fret not...show your certifications. 
 If you dont have too many certifications....not to worry....show your knowledge/skills with TESTIMONIALS. 
This also in turn, means keep giving TESTIMONIALS to other members in the chapter. This would help THEY get mileage and of course, this increases your TRAFFIC LIGHTS too. 


 4. NUMBER OF CLIENTS : 

 Show the number of Quality people you have dealt with and given your product/services. 
 This could also help your Chapter member get a referral or a contact they were looking for! 



 5. PRICING : 

Sometimes, chapter members may hesitate to recommend you assuming that you may be pricey. This image could be due to the way you dress or the way you pitch. 
 Whatever the reason...if your pricing is clearly understood by your chapter member it makes sense for them to refer you. 
When they have a meeting with you, make sure that they go away with the feeling that you are charges are REASONABLE & FAIR 



FINALLY, 

 Besides all these, keep communicating with your chapter members via Social Media and email (dont bombard their inbox) with effective points of your business. 
 Have your profile updated in BNI Connect 



 And wherever possible, use SIMPLE WORDS. No need to show that you have amazing English. 
The more important thing is to get the MESSAGE ACROSS. 



 Do all these and not only the THANK YOU SLIPS that you will be giving will shoot up but even your TRAFFIC LIGHTS too.

Amazing 1-2-1 with Mr.Balaji of BNI PUNE

Yesterday had a brilliant insightful interactive session with the one and only SUPERSTAR Mr.Balaji of Pune
He, surely, is a Walking Encyclopedia on HOW TO THE USE THE BNI PLATFORM

My God!!

the 4 hours  we spent with him just flew.

Truly insightful 1-2-1
My 1-2-1s are normally long (minimum of 2 hours) but felt yesterday's 4 hours was too short.

Not only was the discussion on HOW TO EFFECTIVELY USE THE BNI PLATFORM but also how to communicate with HNI clients.

Mr.Balaji truly believes in GIVER'S GAIN and I would say he is a Walking Ambassador on the philosophy of GIVER'S GAIN.

He kept giving us tips, knowledge even on our profession of FINANICAL PLANNING.
BTW,
Mr.Balaji is a CFP trainer and has a huge huge experience of more than 12 years.

NOW....STARTING AGAIN...SIMULTANEOUSLY OPENING THE GLASS JAR...I continued.......

In your 30 Sec when you ASK for a Connect ....it is 1 Single Connect.....so 
(OPENING THE JAR), I offered the Oreo Chocolates to a Member.....



In your Feature Presentation, you are ASKing for 2-3 Connects, maybe even 7-8 connects....(again Showed the Jar)....

But, the issue is...I have the TEA SACHET which also is required by you. 

But, since I don't know that you require..I am not offering you 

But in a 121....this happens 

(POURED OUT ENTIRE CONTECTS OF THE JAR AND HAND OVER THE TEA BAG TO ONE MEMBER)

The Tea Bag which is stuck at the bottom actually reaches one who requires it....
Because the 121 lets the member know ALL the connects and referrals the other person has access and he/she can pick the one which they searching...

So....in 2019, my friends, you need to do more and more of 121s

AT THIS JUNCTURE....I TURNED TO VISITORS AND Told THEM THAT 121 IS WHERE MEMBER MEETS ANOTHER MEMBER IN EITHER'S OFFICE TO KNOW ABOUT EACH OTHER AND
I now TURNED TO MEMBERS AND CONTINUED...



We CONNECT to people when we start talking about our Families and the very intelligently designed DANCE CARD''s 1 sheet itself about our Bio Sheet where we talk about our Spouse, Children and once the Family is invoked, an instant Connect is established. 

Yes..

We all are short on Time and the actual 121 of 2-3 hours may not be possible every time......
however, there are 3 questions which YOU SHOULD ASK your Chapter Member with whom you are doing 121 with....

NOW I TURNED TO A  MEMBER....AND ASKED THE 3 QUESTIONS....>

Yes...(MEMBER NAME)..."What business/profession are you in"

WAITED FOR MEMBER TO ANSWER

"Great.....How does a Customer benefitted using your product instead of the regular ones that are there in the Market"

AGAIN WAITED FOR MEMBER TO ANSWER


"Perfect.....what kind of Connects you are looking for from my side"

ONCE AGAIN WAITED FOR MEMBER NAME TO ANSWER


NOW TURNED TO OTHER MEMBERS AND CONTINUED..


"That was wonderful...isnt it?.....see just 3 quick questions and I sort of came to know not only what MEMBER NAME does, but how it benefits users and the exact connect he is looking for"

"So....friends, do more of 121s.....and a Definite Quality Referral is surely on the way and would get you more business..

There's a very famous quote which says "
Everyone wants to go to Heaven....but nobody wants to die"

What it simply means is....we are not prepared to pay the price.


We all want "PHAL" but not ready to do the KARMA....

Just Two 121s every week
At least 1 visitor every week
And 1 training every month

Automatically the footfalls will increase.
your visibility will increase
Your business will get greater recognition.
